Matthew Ward is the author of Unflappable, a 2023 Indie Next List picture book from Clarion Books / HarperCollins. His middle-grade novels, The Fantastic Family Whipple and War of the World Records (Penguin Random House), have been selected for the Lincoln City Fellowship and the Buzz Panel at BookExpo America, as well as optioned for film by DreamWorks Animation, 20th Century Fox, and 21 Laps Entertainment (Night at the Museum; Stranger Things).

Matt lives in San Diego, CA, where he can't help but look at every hawk he drives past, much to the amusement/terror of his wife and three sons.
